Get Boot! (intrepid race reporter wanted for 2008)

Post by Chris Acklam »

As Lord Copper (aka Kate Orebi Gann, Coordinator Extraordinaire) commands, so we mere underlings are casting the net far and wide for the intrepid journalist.

One who is ready and willing (for a pitifully small fee and an occasional bacon sandwich) to boldly go and report from the godforsaken rain-soaked fields of Snetterton, Silverstone and beyond.

To understand and comment meaningfully (or otherwise) upon violent, noisy and rapid ceremonies (the race and qualifying) - and then to communicate with the strange clusters of be-helmeted beings that emerge as one, sweating and laughing, afterwards. Putting into deathless prose the events of the day - which will then be forever cemented as an entirely unimportant historical record, and which may even, with the Editor's favour, grace the pages of that august journal, Miscellany.

Anyone willing to risk their reputation in such a cause should contact Chris Acklam (email morgan dot challenge at googlemail dot com)

PS And, if you, or anyone, would like to flex your literary skills in the meantime, it would be good to have a report of the 2007 race season for the January edition of Miscellany.
And new and exciting photos from any budding motorsport snappers to accompany it would be welcomed also - email them to editor at mscc dot uk dot com.

Dont you think he already has his hands full doing the web site?

Anyway it needs to be a non-competitor, race days can be rather busy for drivers!

In the sprint series, we take it in turns, don't know if you have seen some of our reports! It means that we probably get a chance to write one report every two years!

There doesn't seem to have been a rush for this job............

Surely there is someone out there who could give it a try?

what about putting the request on Mogtalk: bigger audience, lots of budding photographers, spread over the country, quite a few racegoers, etc.

Mind you, as Editor of our noggin news letter, it's a bu@@er trying to get decent copy to print(any copy to print even!)
