Fantastic Keith, just Fantastic.
Did you all get the impression from Jack that he was impressed ? He was very impressed - and a very proud dad as his son Billy Bellinger (JB Sports Engineering) prepares the car having taken over from Rob (old man) Wells !

“The first two of these cars were Oliver Bryant’s Morgan and Chris Beighton’s Mantis. These two chassis would be seeing a lot of each other during the race and for the first six laps it was Beighton who had a full view of the other car’s rear end. This was reversed on lap seven and the Mantis began to pull out a gap.
Chris Beighton was still going strongly in the lead and the Mantis was already looking unassailable. However, when the car pitted (a lap after Harvey), the team took the decision to change a front tyre, losing several valuable seconds. Oliver Bryant assumed the lead, but had been dropping back from the Mantis in the previous few laps and had yet to stop.As the orange Mantis dropped back down to earth off the jacks, Andy Britnell was crossing the finish line and the Motorbase car once more (effectively) led the race after Bryant stopped to hand over to Keith Ahlers. Jon Finnemore was greeted with the sight of the Morgan leaving the pitlane quite some distance ahead of him and it looked as though Team Tiger had thrown away the chance of a win. With just over a third of the race to go, the first to third were separated by about ten seconds.
The timing screens were telling the real story, however, and revealed that Ahlers was a lot faster than Britnell, but a lot slower than Finnemore. With 20 minutes left the Morgan had closed enough on the Porsche to have a go and got by on the run up to the chicane. All three were now nose to tail across the line and it was stirring stuff. The Mantis had a look at Allard, but decided against it. Momentarily the Morgan was given a breathing space and pulled a dozen lengths ahead of the Porsche, which was now delaying the Mantis. One lap later, the Mantis was up to second and Ahlers could do little to prevent the venerable orange beast sweeping by at the chicane on the next lap. “I was sure that the Tiger boys had blown it when they changed that front tyre,â€
