for all you aeroplane buffs, a friend has sent me an old wartime newsreel of mosquito manufacture in australia (yea verily ye penal colony0 r, complete with gung- ho commentary, and appropriate music-- newsreels how they used to be
waxing lyrical about fueselage entirely made of wood and glue (sound familiar?) and engines secured with only 4 bolts!!!! (?)

Sounds very interesting, particularly as my Mother worked on Mosquito assembly at Borehamwood during the war. She was very proud of the fact that the Mossie was such a success, and smuggled out a bomb release, button, cover for me, against all of the rules of course.
There used to be a small museum near London Colney (St. Albans) dedicated to the aircraft, which may still be open. I could check if anyone was interested.
