Hi all,
anyone got a inlet manifold to mount a pair of 40's to a ford crossflow (Kent) engine,
needs to be quite short as I have a long one, but the carbs would stick out much too far.
I can swap for the long one if that would suit anyone.
Cheers Jim

Re: WANTED - XFlow inlet manifold
Try a Caterham 7 one. Crossflow 7s had a specially made short inlet manifold for twin 40 carbs, to clear chassis engine bay lateral tube. This set up was combined with short carb trumpets and twin K&N filters.
Don't have one I'm afraid. Try e-bay or Caterham Cars themselves. Burton Power possibly, but maybe not short enough.
Cheers

Re: WANTED - XFlow inlet manifold
Hi Jim,
I got mine from Burton, its a short Hyflow unit that lets you fit the carbs under the bonnet without a bulge. All you'll need to do is modify the inner wing and trim the wing edge. You'll need the shortest stubbies though and I use Webcon filters as I tried pipercross and ITG filters and both fouled the bonnet.
You can see photo's on this link http://s614.photobucket.com/albums/tt23 ... mview=grid
I hope this helps.
