You may well have see this but decent copies of the original FIA papers are now available on line to download.
http://historicdb.fia.com/
The '61 papers are here Homologation 37
http://historicdb.fia.com/car/morgan-plus-4
The '62 papers are here Homologation 64
http://historicdb.fia.com/car/morgan-plus-4-super-sport
And the '63 cross flow are here Homologation 128

Remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page to download the complete form.
I find it interesting that the '63 papers still use shots on the cover page of TOK painted 'red'
Cheers

I looked at this when I saw it mentioned on another web site.
I was intrigued to see that the only Plus 8 mentioned is very similar to mine – a 1979 5 speed.

I have a copy of FIA papers for 1968-1973 Plus 8, FIA Recognition no. 98-1.
Not sure why it is not listed on the web site.

Anyone know what spec a 1979 4/4 1600cc Crossflow can run to? The only FIA papers I can see are for the 1500cc pre crossflow or TR plus 4's.
As you may know I have recently purchased the ex John Bevan/Rob Toon 4/4 4 seater and would like to bring it back to period (1979) spec. I'm interested in an eclectic mix of historic events such as regularity rallies (Hero etc) as well as sprints, hillclimbs, trials and maybe the odd race.
I know the existing engine (Throttle body Zetec) will have to be replaced by a Kent again but any info useful.....
Cheers

i think that you will find that the x/flow engine 4/4 has never raced internationally so they are not getting FIA papers
only the pre X/flow was

Hi Phil,
Hope you are well and pleased to hear you have bought John's 4/4.
Jack is absolutely right so no need to go down that (expensive!) road.
In fact for many events where they allow cars of the 70's and 80's they may not be too fussy about the engine transplant either...
See you soon,
Cheers
Mark

Thanks Mark and Jack
I must admit one of the main drivers for me is the desire to get back into my own engine prep. I did TR and A Series for myself when I raced back in the 80's. The Kent engine is simple with ample bits and I have a bit of knowledge from the time I ran FF1600 cars.
I know the power will be down on the Zetec but I was thinking a Twin 40 DCOE Kent would also be good. However if I made it to say HSCC 70's Roadsports regs then I'd need to stick with a downdraught. None the less a good all round road and competition car...
Thanks for all the advise..keep it coming...
