Re: Bob
No Mary - it must have been telepathy. Perhaps he mixed Leigh and Lees. I scanned through the postings and saw reference to a Chelsea Mob. I went to a football ground adjacent to Fulham Broadway last Saturday and saw a certain Chelsea mob scrape a win against a gallant Ipswich mob.
I hope this contribution is helpful.

Re: Bob
Welcome to the madhouse again Leigh.
I see that Tony has abandoned this thread and is no doubt planning his next erudite contribution.

Re: Bob
Leigh/Lees. Whichever! All contributions are helpful, as I shall be mortified if this thread about ME does not exceed the Panto item in terms of views, replies and pages. Already you have been lured into the discussion by my 'cunning plan' of confusing you with some other idiot. (that should provoke an angry response in itself)Leigh Sebba wrote:I hope this contribution is helpful.
You could be right Mary, I'll ask around.Mary Lindsay wrote:I'm not really sure, maybe someone else knows him?
But, Mary! He hasn't got his helmet on!Mary Lindsay wrote:Nope, give us a clue. They all look the same with their helmets on.
Nor have I Jack and I'm really famous.jack bellinger wrote: cant be that famous He never met me !!
Come Guys! Surely someone recognises him. (I don't mean Jack)
Mary, I don't like to boast (pause for much laughter) but today I was approached by BBC Radio 4 for advice on the Honda Team. Come on how famous can one chap be?Mary Lindsay wrote:maybe one day a real BBC editor will interview me.........
OK! His first name is Gary and his Dad is John.
Does anyone know how long before the season gets underway?

Re: Bob
My point exactly, how am I expected to recognise someone without their helmet when I don't know who they are when they are wearing one? But, Mary! He hasn't got his helmet on!
Surely you aren't saying that you have never met the great Jack Bellinger, the famous racing driver?Nor have I Jack and I'm really famous.
Now you're sounding desperate.Come Guys! Surely someone recognises him.
What sort of advice Bob? I think they might need a financial bail-out, isn't that one for Robert Peston?today I was approached by BBC Radio 4 for advice on the Honda Team.

Really, you Morgan types are an insular bunch!
Yes, Chris, it is Gary Pearson, and the chap interviewing him is that well known figure, Bob Bull! (Just to avoid confusion)
On another subject, and in a desperate attempt to extend further the reach of this thread, I have a message for Mark Shears.
In the range of DVDs I mentioned, on another subject, there is one on Jim Clark. It is 60 minutes long and is also priced at £4.99 from the same source as the Gentleman's Diary discs. They are stocked in Poplars Garden Centre just 200yds from Junction 12 of the M1 in Bedfordshire. I could always post it to you if you wish.
Come on Andy! I helped you in your hour of need.

Re: Bob
Thank you Bob for your CD this week- clever stuff. I could tell from the hissing of steam from the valves that it was all recorded before even Jack was born, and all in black and white, too. Listened to it all several times already.Loved the photos too. Should know the lady- can't give her a name, though.

Hi Bob,
I am pleased Chris knows who it is, as after your referral to me as a 'know it all' I didn't like to say! But our balloon painters dad works for his dad!
Next time you are in the garden centre Bob please pick up a copy of the Jim Clark DVD for me and I will settle up with you first race I see you at!
Many Thanks
Cheers
