I doubt that many of the members of this forum know what you are talking about, none of the afore mentioned drive Morgans as far as I know.

Still, there is little point in sticking one's neck out after events, so any predictions will have to be made pretty rapidly if one wishes to be able to make any claims at season's end, for perspicasity, or expert opinion;

With that in mind I will go for;

This on the basis that experience will tell over the long run.

The latest news from Malaysia regarding the Trulli/Hamilton incident in Australia, looks pretty abysmal with our World Champion adjudged to have lied to the stewards of the meeting along with team Sporting Director, Dave Ryan. What is the 'sport' coming to when those at the very highest level are deemed to have deliberately set out to manipulate the result of a race in order to gain a marginal advantage at the expense of a fellow competitor?

Of course McLaren have 'previous' in such matters and while many thought they had been harshly judged over the Ferrari scandal, this latest incident rather undermines that point of view.

One consequence is that McLaren have suspended Ryan for bringing the team into disrepute, but what about or ersrtwhile Champion, guilty of the same charge?
The authorities have intimated that further sanctions may be applied so we must wait and see if he comes out unscathed.

I have stated before that I am not a fan of the Stevenage driver, but I thought that his drive in Oz was probably his best in Formula 1, as for once he did not have a dominant car but did everything possible with what he had. Then he goes and spoils it with his shabby treatment of Jarno Trulli. Remember the race finished under safety car conditions with all of the field closing up in a tight bunch and seperated by just a few seconds at the finish, which meant that the 25 second penalty given to the Toyota driver dropped him well down the order somewhat unfairly under any circumstance, let alone because of the unseemly actions of another driver.

I have no doubt that LH's fans will attempt to excuse or try and justify his behaviour, but to me it is inexcusable and he should be banned, but then I tend to sit to the far right of Genghis Khan.

I don't think that Lewis Hamilton would say anything that the team had not previously sanctioned. They pay his wages after all.

We should hesitate to judge any of them as these things are rarely completely straightforward and only those present at the various meetings and discussions are in possession of all the facts. There is also the very powerful political aspect, it just depends on how those in control want it all to appear to the outside world.....
