With regard to the 24 hour race, I can not recall hearing how the four horsemen got on last year.
But did you ask? I thought that is what reporters are supposed to do. #-o

Jack, save the testosterone and be kind to the car that's how you are supposed to drive in endurance racing!

Having regard to the 24 hour race for Citroen 4 CV's at Snetterton last year, I am considering writing a book on the event, and in the interests of truth and accuracy, and for the proper instruction of future generations, as yet unborn I am still seeking clarification of certain apects of the event.
Would any member of the Forum have any knowledge of which of the drivers of the black car christened 'Wild Thing' was the fastest of the four intrepid ancien pilotes who drove in the race?

While such detail may appear trivial I truly believe that history demands that a complete record of facts of this nature should be left for posterity.

I appreciate that an enormous amount of research may be neccessary to unearth relatively minor details, but I am sure that someone knows the answer to my question.

Mary,
An EDITOR leaves such mundane tasks to mere reporters.
Would you, perhaps, be willing to undertake the task of cub reporter, acting, unpaid for this years event?
Should any of the personell involved be able to show a connection with the Three Counties area, I may well be able to place details on our station web site.
How famous could you be?

The front wing on the 2CV looks good, was it developed in a wind tunnel and have you considered adding end plates and a different diffuser?

Unfortunately Andy, the regs stipulate that we must use the one you see in the photograph so we are unable to pursue your helpful suggestions.

Which 3 counties are you talking about?
Our drivers hail from Kent, Hertfordshire, Essex and Berkshire - that makes 4 counties.
On a more serious note, I am sure that amongst the 35 teams of 4 drivers taking part in the race there must be some from your neck of the woods and the Classic 2CV Racing Club would be glad of a plug (now in their 25th year of 2CV racing).

I did not say it would be a very long book, probably no more than 3 / 4"s.

Mary we are talking Herts, Beds. & Bucks so at least one of you qualifies. It can't be you as an Essex Girl, or Jack as a Lambethite, so can you reveal who I should be concentrating on?
I will take it seriously.

Bob

I have just realised that this subject had been dormant since April 19th, until my post brought it alive, and now it is in full flood again!

Should I be flattered or castigated?

Bob, Jack is the Herts man as he lives in Barnet.

I think you should consult your doctor on that one Bob, I am not qualified to comment.

Well, well! What a small world, Jack.

I lived in Barnet, went to school in Barnet, visited Barnet Fair many times, met my wife in Barnet and got married in Barnet. I also visit Barnet when Mrs. B visits her cousin in The Meadway.

Of course when I was a lad Barnet was High Barnet, but now seems to include many less salubrious areas, I trust that you mean you live in BARNET!!

Anyway, what's all this South London nonsense, South Chelsea, I arst yer?

Bob, the Classic 2CV Racing Club is celebrating 25 years of 2CV racing this year. The racing is very close and competitive and they are a great bunch of people.

If you want to know more about the Classic 2CV Racing Club go to:
http://www.2cvracing.org.uk/

This also gives a flavour of what it is like:

If you can give the club and the race some coverage it would be much appreciated.
