Power Torque Morgan Challenge - Class E for 4 cylinders

Your own Class which many of you had asked for....
Wonderful race circuits, meetings well-organised by recognised clubs...
Only 2 registered drivers and 1 race entry so far in 2009....
What are we doing wrong? Or do the 4 cylinder Morgans not want to race with other Morgans?
I am away for the next week and look forward to all responses on my return

Don't get rid of class E, as if all goes to plan I'll be there next season.

Hi Kate,
I agree with Jim - don't get rid of Class E!
It's just that now there are so many opportunities for us owners of 'Historic' Morgans to race them against contemporary cars that the Challenge is now another series vying for a limited amount of funds to go round.
There are now several series where 4 cylinder Morgans of the 1960's are eligible but there is a shortage of opportunities for the later cars, particularly those of the 80's and later.
With the introduction of the 4/4 Sport there might be a resurgence of interest from prospective 4 cylinder racers with newer cars and so it is most important that there is a series where they can be raced. As Jim says maybe next season there will be more cars out.

Anne and I would be interested in Class E in the next couple of years. I must admit that currently it seems more focused to either the bigger Morgans and alternatives tend to be orientated towards the Vintage end of the 4 cylinder spectrum.
We had explored the Swinging Sixties as we would ideally like to double drive still and that format allows for 2 drivers with a change over. Currently un-decided.
