Spa 6 Hours 2009

Post by John Clarke »

There was a fantastic turn out of +4s last weekend.

Biggest triumph was Rob, Rick and Malcolm taking the latters +4 to 19th overall in a 98 car field in the main race - completing 99 laps in the 6 hours.

The full results are here

http://www.ris-timing.be/~circuit//6hspa/2009/index.htm

In the 2 hour GT Sports, Keith/Billy (TOK) led home Rick/Simon OG (SLR), Dion/Gabriel (XRX), Rob/Malcolm (+4) and Mark H/Ashley (+4). Keith and Billy finished an excellent 9th overall and class winners. =D>

So how was it guys?

Congratulations to all.

On a slightly more mundane level at the Morgan Production Car Trial on Sunday I finished first equal with Dave Sapp (who was warming up for the Classic Edinburgh Trial next week). We both had a clear run of nil points.

There was a timed ‘run off’ to decide the winner and Dave put in a good time and unfortunately I crashed out (but luckily only into the bendy pea sticks used for setting the course – so damage free).

I was in a 4 cylinder car – my 40 year old 4/4 – so it’s the right topic heading !

Sorry to see that Barry’s race at Spa had none of the usual Morgan crowd.
