Adding an image to a post

You can display images in your posts, but the image you display must be available on the internet (it cannot exist only on your computer for example, unless you run a webserver!).
Upload the image to a free photo hosting site like Picasa Web Albums or Photobucket. Then, in that site, go to the image you want to display and copy the web address (the URL) starting http://...
When you post on bhp, just surround the URL pointing to the image with "img" tags (highlight the URL and click on the IMG button is simplest).

You can also wrap an image in a "url" tag if you wish also to create a link, e.g.

Bear in mind that the larger the image file, the longer it will take to download (which can slow the board down considerably for those with a slow connection). A good size for images is about 750 pixels wide, which will accomodate most sizes of screen.
Whatever you do, always check your posting using the Preview button to see that the links and images work properly before posting.
