Thanks Tony

My 1098cc Mog vs Allard K1 4400cc - well that seems fair!!!

Mind you Jack is up against a two V8 specials of 4.1 and 4.7 litres!!!

Looks like the Series 1s will have to work hard for their supper.

As for the start time!!!! Wonder what the South Circular will be like at 5.00am in the morning??

At the risk of being dim, what's a Warwick Mk11 Jack?

It was built in 59/60 to race in the 1172 formula it had 2 bodies 1 a single seater (which is in my loft) that raced in Monoposto the other a Cooper bodied bobtail body The bodies could be changed in 20 mins so as John Moore The man who built it could do more than 1 race at the same meeting (Founder of ALCON Brakes).
The cooper body was built by Cooper for Jack Brabham to Race at thev Riems Grand Prix in 1957 and was called the streamliner But at about 190mph it started to take off ..Jack would not drive it (see Doug Nye,s Book )
John Moore used to sell AP Brakes to Cooper ..Saw it hanging on a wall Thought that will go on my Car A deal was done .
based on Formula Junoir set up
Ken Tyrrel helped with the suspension welding .
Quite a unique bit of racing pedigree/history
John Moore has even given me the Balsa wood chassis,s he made in miniture scale for both the Mk1 and Mk2 Warwick
its called Warwick cos that is where he lived .

come and see it on bank holiday monday

Here are Jack's photos of the Warwick:

The streamliner body as bought from Cooper and put on John Moore's Warwick mk2 Chassis (still in its black race trim from Reims) in John's garage.

Billy Racing it at Cadwell just before he spun off and bashed the back to bits ( he didnt bring it home until it was mended) so I never saw the damage

Think I saw Simon Taylor (who writes in Classic Car mag) is down in Jack’s class – so Jack had better be on his best behaviour
