Danger - Christmas Pantomime

The chap on the TV has just pointed out that there are just two months to Christmas! I suspect that some wiseacre will shortly proclaim a new seasonal entertainment with a snappy title and then expect everyone else to do the work, while they bask in the glory of being the 'Promoter'.
There is plenty of 'previous' here, and I suggest the any would be perpetrators think long and hard before rasing their head above the parapet.

Names will be noted and appropriate penalties introduced and enforced. So watch it! alright?

I think we should first conduct a vote on which panto to adopt, appointing an independent observer to ensure that no vote-rigging takes place.
I suggest the following :
A Christmas Carol
Treasure Island

Well! Well! It would seem that democracy reigns in Essex. A free vote on our next Christmas extravaganza, what a good idea, all we have to do now is to solicit nominations, decide on a short list, agree on whether to use 'first past the post' or proportional representation, and Bingo! We all set for a successful panto season.

One caveat; I think it is imperative that the only members eligible to vote should be registered contributors to the site, and I leave the compilation of the voters roll to the very experienced Lady from Essex.

I propose Ali-baba and the Forty Thieves as an apposite subject for the production.

Jim,
Posts like this will definitely earn you a place on the voters roll, it is a very good example of the fine line between madness and genius.

Well at least it has galvanised some the electorate into a response.

I am pleased to announce that a free and fair election has taken place and the winning panto title is Treasure Island.

Yes, I think you are right, wasn't he the bloke who borrowed massive amounts of money and could not pay it back? The tradgedy being that it was everyone else who lost out.

Or am I getting confused with some other Greek disaster.

I must get out more.

Cheers,

Bobios
