I think earlier clues were that he still turns up for most club meetings at S’stone, and his father was famous.

I think Gerry Marshall is ruled out of the first – unless he faked his death.

Jack – Totteridge Lane ? Certainly not the Totteridge Lane I remember !!

OK, not Gerry Marshall then.
Could it be Damon Hill?

My research has revealed that the following celebrities also lived in Totteridge:
Sean Bean, David Ginola, Roger Moore, Mickey Most, Cliff Richard, Johnny Vaughan, Arsene Wenger and Paul Young.
Whether or not any of them drove a dubious looking car like the one in Bob's photo is not known.
Come on Bob, tell us who it is...!

Jack, With your 'O' Level in Geography you should surely recognise the church steeples in the background, even if your knowledge of religious institutions is sparse.

Aintree is well wide of the mark, no horse droppings or fences in sight, although there are many parts of Liverpool that look fairly derelict. Afficionado's of the Sweeney might well be able to place the venue, however.

The car is a 2.0 litre Vauxhall Cavalier in the Camden area of London and the driver was myself. The photo was taken by our member Paul Starck, in a little used short cut used on our way to work in Hatton Garden.

Correct Robin?

I have raced at Aintree motor racing circuit and although there were lots of pot holes there were no horse droppings or jumps.

Gosh Bob, is it really you? I would never have guessed! #-o

By the way;

The preceeding puzzle picture featured my eldest daughter in the prototype, 'Tula Engineering' Model Bugatti. Her burgeoning career as Britain's first Female Formula 1 Champion sadly ended when she crashed head first in to a tree in the car (Jack)

Come on Jack, I've never hit a tree...well maybe just the once, in Smudger's Land Rover, and I only bounced off it sideways into a ploughed field after skidding on a patch of ice

Smudger's Old Land Rover.

Now Smudger had an old Land Rover, he kept it clean and nice,
But then Mary turned it over, when she hit a patch of ice.
But what can you expect, with a woman at the wheel?
They show no respect, for the road they have no feel.
