I'm sure Mary will be delighted that you refer to her as the "Star from the East"!

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to follow the thread of this merry pantomime!

However just by way of context to the festive season, might I just mention that as I live further east than other punters to this site, that I'm likely to be the first to spot the star from the east...I'll let you know!

Robin, durng our all too brief an acquaintance, I have never had cause to question your sanity, however, should you endeavouring to discern a 'thread' in this disjointed farrago of fevered imanginings, you must be even more deranged than most of the contributors appear to be!

Yes I know that I strive to inject continuity and common sense into the story, but you will have noticed that John's 'Star of The Yeast' will insist on wandering down lanes best left unwandered

I ask you; what on earth have tennis rackets got to do with Dick Whittington and his Moggy?

Never mind we still have a few days to go and once 'erself as drunk 'er self into a stupor, we may be able to get back 'on-track' and conclude the whole sorry mess to your satisfaction, particularly if the King of Zummerset, (which in Glowersestershire) downs too much scrumpy and falls asleep 'away in a manger'. I suspect that The Arch-Bishop of Bow will be busy contemplating the Cheekie Girls, and thus may allow peace to reign over the Christmas Season.

Anyway it is good to see that you have not yet fled the theatre, and continue to persevere with the tale.

Christmas Wishes to you and Brother Eddie.

Bob.

Despite the rain and wind, the snow and Mary everyone had a wonderful Christmas Day feasting on roast goose, lampreys, poached sparrows, and tankards of mead.

With Christmas looming I would like to share a personal experience with my
friends about drinking and driving.

As you may know some of us have been known to have brushes with the
authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" out
with friends. Well on the weekend I was out for an evening with friends and
had several cocktails followed by some rather nice red wine. Feeling jolly I
still had the sense to know that I may be slightly over the limit. That's
when I did something that I've never done before - I took a cab home.

Sure enough on the way home there was a police road block but since it was
a cab they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident. This was
a real surprise as I had never driven a cab before, I don't know where I got
it and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it.

After his travails Dickon eventually arrived safely at London Docks and saw his boat come in with the fabulous riches he had gained from swapping his moggy for Eastern treasures.
He hastened to propose to his childhood sweetheart, and they were swiftly married, and drove off in his newly accquired Cart on their honeymoon, unfortunately as Dickon carried their heavy suitcase into the hotel he slipped and ricked his ankle. As he hobbled toward the stairs leading to the Bridal Suite, Maryann his lovely bride noticed his wobbly gait as he staggered under the weight of their luggage.
"Oh!", she cried, "You have a limp, Dick, will you be able to get it up, or shall I ask the Porter to give you a hand with it?"

Unluckily the Malvern Sporting Cart Club were having their Annual Dinner at the venue, and upon hearing her cry burst out into coarse laughter, and offered a number of suggestions to the unfortunate couple.
