Morgan +4 New Year Lunch 2013 - Leathern Bottle

Remember that cool, dry day at the Leathern Bottle last January? Anyone want to do it again?

Saturday 5th January 2013 is being put forward for the next gathering - same place, same time.

The gathering maybe of particular interest to +4 racing types (past and present), +4 repairers and anyone else who has a bent for these fine old machines.

Please post here if it gets your diary entry and I'll warn the pub of impending leaking rear crank seals.

cheers

john

Hi John,

I was only thinking about the Plus 4 lunch this morning amazing!! I can make the 5th and look forward to it :D :?

Should we open it up to any 4 cylinder car as there are so many 4/4’s racing now?

Richard.

Hi chaps

I too was thinking about the lunch ! Sadly 5th January doesn't work for me this year as we will be away but I look forward to seeing a group picture of shivering souls. Have a good natter.

Mark

Presumably, given the title of this topic, he was on his way to the Leathern Bottle?

Indeed, Bob. He'd started off in 1934 from Bolton, going via London to Lands End, then from London to Edinburgh via Wrynose and Hardknott passes, and Devil's Beef Tub. He managed Exeter Pin Hill in 1936, together with Jenkins Chapel, Pepperdon, and Hangman's Hill on his way from Brighton to Beer. Cow Low outside Buxton seems to have been the closest that he got to Leathern.
