Off Season Entertainment.

Post by Bob Bull »

As always at this time of the year we find that the only live topics on the forum tend to revolve around obscure facts concerning old Morgans, tremendously interesting number plates (fascinating), discovery of ancien pilotes living in the wilderness, historically significant race results, and many a learned discourse from Mark.

Are there any suggestions as to how we can bring a little cheer to this currently moribund forum?

"What I want For Christmas"

"My Greatest Achievement of 2013"

"Interesting Facts To Be found On The Morgan Web Site."

"Resolutions For 2014"

Yesterday I saw a Driving School car bearing the name Bill Plant Driving School, I wonder?

Come on chaps we can do it. (Mary, Kate, Catherine, etc may also join in)

Bob.

Blame for this can be laid at the door of a certain well know author.

Are we planning something Shakesperean, this year Mary?

It would make a change, but I will not be the one to suggest it. [-X

Er! How does it go?
Since when has a detail like plot accuracy ever bothered us?
I suspect if we get any takers they will all trot out quotations from their favourite Shakespearean play or possibly anything else they think might fit the theme….

How does it go
"Kings, queen, clown, Lords, peasants et al
Madness, infidelity, out of wedlock birth, prison, Delphi, death and remorse, a bear, shepherds and shepherdesses, forgiveness and a miracle"

I got a "B"

I have started to read the book so that I may make a sensible contribution to the plot, however, it might well take me up until next Christmas, so perhaps we could postpone the venture until 2014.

Now what page was I on ........... prithee me .................

Bob, the last thing we expect (or hope for) from you is a sensible contribution!

I suggest we open the story line up to a general Shakespearean/Elizabethan theme and this will save you reading the book (although I always thought it was a play…)

Leigh is used to treading the boards so we have high hopes that when he stumbles upon this topic he will wax lyrical.

Mary! Does Leigh wax then? What method does he use, and dare we ask whereabouts he dose so?

Onward to Ye Playhouse.

Scene 1; Jacques the Bell Dinger resplendent in scarlet hose and slashed doublet, his noble knees shown to perfection by the tight silken stockings, rings his bell in the dawn of a new day; Come all ye maidens danceth with yee merrie tugger of yee ropes, wilst ye may, for once more I must goeth into ye britches. For Prince Harry and Merrie England. My Lord of Malvern doeth require all able bodied men of the parish to assemble on ye village greensward, whence ye annual Challenge will taketh place. Who amongst ye braw fellows canst defeat St.Tisnought in the joust, and claim a kiss from the fairest Lady in all ye land?
Puck 'er up me yeoman, and prepareth thy troth for fairies doeth cavort in the yuletide forest, and Shylock (played by Andy Greene) woudst, demand his Euro of flesh.

To be continued ....... with a bit of luck.

Odds bodkins, yee lily livered fauns and fairies, weir art thou Lords and Ladies, frolicking in the forest of Dunsimay?

Sharepen yee goose feathers and put pen to parchment, there be hags and harridans who should be about their weird rites and practices, sauncy squires, and jesters aplenty, tumblers and minstrels aslumber in their beds when England and Brakpercheron needeth they skills.

Will.

Well met Will
Went the day well?
What say you to this present charge
Pray look to the future endeavour at the bidding of sir bob.
Will it be like a tempest?
Or Much Ado about Nothing?
Gadzooks, forsooth well may there be something rotten in the state of Denmark.
Show fulle disdaine and apply Measure for Measure
Stray not into a Comedy of Errors, forbid sir bob.
Tis not to be disavowed that it will be a Winters Tale
Far far better than a distant Midsummers Night Dream.
Alls Well that Ends Well
