Deputy Dawg, seeing this motley collection of people and dogs careering along with no apparent purpose decided to give chase.
For those unfamiliar with this lovable law-keeper here is a link to a film clip (apologies for the mandatory advertisement before the main feature).

The flag dropped (no lights for the Trumpton GP) and the pack surged forward the closely bunched cars jostling for position as the queue for the ice lolly stall formed. Back at the tail end Noddy found that his famous Noddy Special was dropping further and further behind the bunch.
His consternation (for those without a Classical Education, - 'e wer'nt appy) increased, as soon all he could see was a trail of discarded lolly wrappers. What had gone wrong, the Noddy was usually the fastest thing on four wheels, its powerful V8 a match for any Malvern product. Suddenly inspiration (he got it) bloomed and reaching across he pushed Big Ears down under the scuttle, and felt the enormous acceleration afforded without B E's wind brake effect. Can our hero overcome this disastrous start? Can anyone add anything to this farrago of fiction?

Time will tell ....

His latest caper involves those pesky varmints Peaches Mary and Possum Jack who are on the lam after stealing Mama Magnolia's Pecan Pies and flapacks It was a tents moment. Deputy Bawb and Mrs Deputy Bawb were all tuckered out, (please no references to buckets of cold water handy) when….

..... Shurely Shouldn't, and her erstwhile partner Flippit Sohard. Delighted at the unexpected bonus the gruesome twosome stopped to brew up a cup of herbal coffee and consume Peaches flap jacks. All of this caused Jack to flap, allowing Jim The Mountie to snatch the lead with Lees Said warm on his heels.

Look in your rear view mirror Jack, I am about to lap you!

Desperately trying to keep his team in the hunt Andy Pandy in his white suit, issued team orders. Camberwick was to 'box' next time past and Old King Cole was seated in his Yellow Peril ready to roar in to the fray, while Dixon, smith and farrier, stood admiring pictures of himself, thinking what a bargain he got from the official snap taker Mr Bubble. Jonny Ed Forwards swapped fiction with Two Knees Hurts, as Fireman Sam readied his apparatus.

Peaches Mary and her faithful bulldog Johnboy spent her spare time erecting advertising hoardings beside the road.

Lord. What nonsense this is.

Sir Bob,
I fear this is getting much too real, too close to real life
shouldnt you be trying to make it somewhat fictitious

Oh! Oenophilius, wither goest thou?

Your learned discourse on the merits of fermented grape, cause the casual reader to assume that you are an imbiber of such products, which would explain the nature and direction of your writings on the Forum.
Intoxication may well lead many to inspiration, sadly, however, for others it merely sends them down a path of melancholy, and self-remorse.

I have reached the conclusion that content and context are irrelevant to our venture here, wander as we may from the heights of English literature to the most basic of childish dross, our audience figures continue to increase. What matters is not a plot or tale, but farcial interpretations of any genre known to man.
I applaud your wonderous and fascinating expositions of classic Greek mythology. Be assured that you have made a significant contribution to the success of our venture.

The New Year's Honours List beckons.

With the script going to pot, and a dearth of actors/actress's the Seasonal Entertainment seemed doomed to the wheelie bin of history, until the race hotted up with the arrival of a red clad figure aboard a contraption with an Ash frame and a power unit pushing out four BRP. This unlikely combination seemed particularly suited to the prevailing conditions, being able to skim from rooftop to rooftop, and using only mince pies for fuel.
The pit crew consisted of a host of green clad figures equipt with a variety of wood working tools, sackcloth and needles.

Skipper, took one look and predicted; "He won't last long I doubt we will see him after tomorrow!"
