Hallo,

Everytime I read message like this I am surprised that the prices are VERY low. Why's that?

Machiel.

As raced for many years by David James (not the goalkeeper who is also selling off a load of stuff !)

Machiel – presumably enough racing plus 4 cars available for those who want one to race in historics. They are no longer really suited to Mog series. For top prices need ‘history’ and / or be a factory super sports (as you know)

Hi Leigh! Good to hear from you.

Yes, I think you are right. "Image" and history on top of quality is important. Let's see how much the value of this car is after the auction.

Have a nice day,

Machiel.

For those who know him, the fearless David James should be "history" enough.

He campaigned this car for many years, loyally supporting the Morgan Challenge and often beating much faster cars in difficult conditions. Many of us miss his cheery presence at race meetings.

I hope the car goes to a really good home and is raced with the same spirit and talent as David.

Hallo Robin,

Well, I think someone of this forum knows it. I am sorry to say that I have no idea.

Are you interested?

Machiel.

183 RBM ( Bob Bulls initials in case you didn't know - Robert Bull Morgan ) sold on mid estimate.

There was activity in the room but it was a commission bid that secured it for just under £40,000 including buyers premium and VAT.

Don't know who bought it but there were obviously a couple of people interested...

Is it Robert Bulls Morgan perhaps...?!!!

Yours mischievously,

Mark

Dear Mark,

Am I right if I say: the prices are higher as let's say 2 years a go? That sounds good to me. The pre 1969 +4's are undervalued. If the prices are going higher, that's very good for the second hand prices for all Morgans. It "explains" us that a Morgan is a good investment. That's a good reason to buy a new Morgan as well. That's good for all Morgan owners, the MMC etc.

Enjoy your +4!!,

Machiel.
