Pre Season Karting Fun 15th March

Post by Mary Lindsay »

Jamie at Brands Hatch Morgans is organising this fun pre-season event.

Apart from being a great opportunity to get the adrenalin flowing before the season starts in earnest it is also in aid of a very good cause.

Please note that you need to contact Jamie to enter and he needs a deposit by 17th February.

No, just a little black square with a white cross in it and "image" next to it.

Hi Phill, sorry about that, it works perfectly for me, what device and browser are you using to view it?
Is anyone else out there having similar problems?

I don't know why that should be but rather than wrestle with the digital gremlins any more here is the content of the poster minus the photo of the track which can be found on the web site:

Pre Season Fun!
2 Hour Karting Endurance Race Sunday 15th March at 3pm
Bayford Meadows in Sittingbourne, Kent
http://www.bayfordkarting.co.uk

You can enter a team of 3 – 7 people for £200 per team. That’s just £67 per driver for a team of 3 or £28 per driver in a team of 7!
Helmets, suits, gloves and karts are included in the price.
Don’t forget to pick a team name!

Programme for the event:

3pm Arrive at Bayford Meadows, sign in and get into safety gear

3.30pm Safety briefing with circuit staff

After briefing everyone will be taken to the viewing area and the first person in each team will make their way to the karts for qualifying. This will last for 20 mins during which time everyone in the team must drive.
The last person to qualify will start the race.
The race will start straight after practice, once everyone has been put in their grid positions.

During the afternoon, there will be a stand selling raffle tickets and a there will be a sweepstake on who will win the race. Raffle prices currently include
• A day’s hire of a Morgan Sports Car (25 yrs+. T’s + c’s apply)
• Passenger hot laps around Goodwood circuit in August
• Full professional valet of a car or motorcycle

Once the team is formed, a sponsor sheet will be supplied (One per team).

If you are interested contact Jamie at Brands Hatch Morgans at jgrant156@hotmail.co.uk or 01732 882017 (11.00hrs – 11.30hrs or 13.00-14.00hrs).
A deposit of £75 per team is needed by the 17th February.

The event is being run in aid of Phoebe and Macmillan Cancer Support. Phoebe is just 16 and has been fighting cancer. She has recently had 5 vertebrae split open to remove a tumour. This will be a long recovery full of visits to hospital and completely changing her and her family’s lives.
If anyone would like to donate a prize for the raffle, all is welcomed!! Just contact Jamie on the above contact details. All monies made will be split 50/50 between the two good causes.

Well Phill, you are a paragon of virtue!

I have no idea why it didn't work but at least you can read the text now as I have pasted it directly into the thread...

The question is - are you going?

My PB desktop with Windows 8 provides perfect clarity of the beautiful image of a white cross on a black background.

Phil! You are not alone.
