Web site updates 2015
Re: Web site updates 2015
I have started to add photos from Brands Hatch to my usual web site, however, you will need to log onto the Morgan site to find a link under Galleries. Microsoft no longer allow albums to be made 'Public', on Skydrive.
I took 900 photos over the day as the weather was not conducive to photography, so I opted for quantity over quality, about 750 have survived editing so hopefully everyone can find something to treasure from the day. If you are not up there yet keep looking as it takes time to upload them all.
Nice to see you all again, and have the opportunity (honour?) of writing the reports for Mary, who will no doubt wield the blue pencil over the more contentious parts.
Oh! One more thing, has anyone seen or heard from Charles Neal since Monday? I escorted him trackside to take photographs, and left him in the care of a group of marshals, however, when I returned to collect him he had wandered off, and I never saw him again. Is he still stumbling around searching for a way out of Brands Hatch, did anyone find him and return him to his loved ones, is Miscellany in need of a new editor?
Any information leading to his recovery would be much appreciated, as I feel somewhat responsible.
Question; Do I publish pictures of a well know driver performing a strip tease in the pits or simply blackmail the individual?
Bob.

Do take a look at the galleries section of the web site, and you will see some fairly grisly sights there.

Re: Web site updates 2015
Well done all.
Good pics bob and dom.
Sir Bob, as ever, an illuminating report with more than a tenuous link with actuality (more than likely intended to be perused against a background track of "Silver threads amongst the Gold" or the Bocherini minuet). However, I was somewhat disappointed with no mention of the nosebag! An oversight no doubt, but don't give up your day job.

Firstly;
Compo, In as much as I have a 'day job' it appears to be catering (probably not the best choice of words under the circumstances) for the photographic and general media requirements of the MSCC racing members. In my dotage, and unlike Jack, I have no gainful employment, therefore I am constantly seeking outlets for my undoubted prowess as a 'Journo'.
I have never made much claim to understanding of the assorted Morgan competitions, thus any connection to reality in my reports is purely accidental, I rely on my trusty Canon to record what happens on track and then endeavour to make some sense of it all later, and so far this seems to have satisfied the irascible Mary of Essex. This is due more to the inability of most of the participants being unable to string a few sentences together, or sheer indifference so that my humble efforts are deemed adequate. Despite, or maybe because of, the distance between my words and what actually occurred on track, I have not, so far, faced any hostile reaction or court action, although it entirely possible that such proceedings are in the pipeline. Should that be the case I can only hope that the Chilcott enquiry drags on a little longer.
Now as to 'nosebag', this particular aspect of the 30 Year Celebration proved a major disappointment, which explains my earlier rider re catering. There was none! Not a stale sandwich, a second hand sausage roll, a slightly off pork pie, a rotting pizza slice, or even a glass of flat ginger beer on offer. Some kind lady did buy me a cup of coffee, but other than that I lost several stone over the day. I know you will be staggered by this lack of Media Savvy on the part of such a prestigious body as the MSCC, but what can you do?
Where were you when I needed your capacious wallet to provide provender for the Press Gang, ie Me.
Jack, your kind words have been duly noted, please be assured that they are much appreciated, even though I assume they were made while you basked in the glow of your magnificent achievements at Brands Hatch, and that you will relapse back into your normal self sooner or later. I await your next insult with trepidation.
Before hostilities resume may I congratulate you on your treble podium visits on Monday, it was great to see such determined driving in tricky conditions, and so much obvious enjoyment at the wheel. I salute you Sir Jack.
Any sign of Charles as yet? Anybody?
Your Humble Scribe.
NB; Words of praise for my efforts is always appreciated.

We are very lucky to have your interesting and tongue-in-cheek reports and I for one enjoy them immensely. My response to all who criticise others' efforts is always to suggest that if they could do the job better then why don't they do it? [-X

Why, Thank You, Mary only trouble is my reports are not intended to be tongue-in-cheek. I thought they were deadly serious.

Nothing from the chap (Jack note the sex) in his underpants as yet, I know he can afford a substantial sum to avoid publication. How long can I wait?
