Hello all,
I have just joined, having recently acquired a 1938 drophead coupe which is on the road and seems to go (and stop) quite nicely. I'm sure there's more questions to come, but in the meantime, have a photo...
Cheers,
James in Staffordshire

Dear James,
Yes, thats a jewel from the past. Have you registered your Series I already at the Morgan Historic Register? If not, please, contact Mike Pullen. mscc.mhr.morganregister@gmail.com
Thanks for showing your car!

Hello James,
Is that the ex Nancy Child's car? Could be the oldest surviving drophead......
Congratulations
Malcolm (in Staffordshire)

Re: New member, new Morgan.
Thank you both.
Machiel, yes I've had a lot of correspondence with Mike recently who has helped me get it on the Historic Register (and also helped me with some local history!).
Malcolm, yes this is the same car. I'm aware of a couple of other 1938 DHCs, but interested to hear you think this could be the oldest one surviving... Will do some more digging!

Hi James
The Morganville registry holds details of many cars here
http://www.morganville.org/
If you launch the register and pick a filter 'year =1938' a list will show all the cars registered on the site for that year.
Your car is there but the chassis number isn't shown, it might be worth an email to the site owner to get your details shown (if you are comfortable with that).
