Jen says “I am looking forward to seeing you all in the drivers club this year.
We will provide you with light refreshments throughout the day.
All of the "savoury" items are fully sorted.
I need you to get your baking hats on and bring cakes and biscuits to provide for morning coffee and afternoon tea.
We are exepcting 500 "customers" during the day.
Please feel free to email me with an idea of what you can supply.
With very best wishes,
Jenny Lees (VSCC committee member)”

Sounds great – sorry to be missing it. Perhaps someone could give Techniques a ‘doggy bag’ for me to collect when I go there next week

Jenny, my baking skills are at the same level as my photographic skills therefore I will bring along 6 coconut tarts, 12 Belgian chocolate brownies, and nine cup cakes courtesy of ASDA, plus anything I can sneak out of the larder.

A fine report by Signor Bevan. A nice touch to include the non Challenge Morgans (King/Shears). Also competing were the intrepid 3 wheeler Aero Supersports of Darbyshire/Edwards. Perhaps Sir Bob might include a mention in his eagerly awaited diatribe for the Series/Miscellany/MOG.
An impressive collection of cars from VSCC both competing and on show which has set the bar very high for the Bentley Drivers.
ps
Some of us were older than the VSCC cars.
Is Alan House the oldest class winner in the Morgan series following his success at Snetterton?
pps
I forgot to go and have a biccy with Jens Lees. Perhaps its just as well as I understand it is not de rigeur down south to duck ones jammy dodgers in the Earl Grey.

Is jammy dodgers a northern euphemism?

Ignoramus. A euphemism is an hinstrument played in a colliery brass band ere in GC.
