Dad owned this Morgan in the late 50's/early 60's. UK Reg was OYP575.

Originally Blue, registered as OYP575 and sold in London. First owner was in Rugby, and think Dad (Worcester) was the second. He sold it in the early 60’s to a Doctor in the Worcester area. Dixon Smith (an old mate of Dad’s) told him that it had been sent to the US some time later, but unsure of dates. It appears in a few Morgan books.

Subsequently popped up in a few auctions in the States (it's now yellow). We believe last US owner was Ralph Lauren.

Contacts in the US believe it has now returned to the UK.

Dad's in his late 80's now, but it would be nice to let him know how she is :)

Hello Phil, and Thanks for posting on this forum :)

Here is a link to RM Auctions/Sotheby's in the US (which I'm sure you've seen) but others may be interested, kindly provided by Bill Beecher in Texas. Auction date was February 2009 though... Sotheby's USA 2009

Good Luck
Andy

Thanks Andy, yes got that one. Also sold by Hymans in US after that and then on a classic car sales site (where the Ralph Lauren link was made - he compares it to his Bugatti 57SC). It's this last sale where we think it returned to the UK (according to Linda Eckler)
