This is the same car that sold at Matthewsons Auctions up in deepest darkest North Yorkshire last December.
There was a thread about it on brakehorsepower and the general consensus of opinion was that it looked to be a very nice Series 1.
It has certainly had a lot of money spent on it by the previous owner, who I think hailed from North of the Border, hence Matthewsons being the nearest auction house specialising in classic cars and associated automobilia.
It will be interesting to see how it fares exactly a year later now it is well south of its previous residence...

At another Bonhams Auction today from the National Motorcycle Museum collection a pristine c.1934 Morgan MX2 Super Sports Roadster reached £32000, and a Brough Superioe sold for £240000. Ah the old throb between the legs (Brough)
