Think the corner is Druids ?
Combe was my local circuit so my late brother and I - that’s him in the blue jumper - were regular spectators
Don’t know where I was that day, must have been a very hot date to have missed a Morgan race .......
Thanks for reminding me of happy days

I think it was the London Centre team and I think maybe it is Doug Taylerson with the pit board and Mike Rudd with the stopwatch.

I have quite a few pics of 1974 relay and mainly London team including showing Rob Wells, Gyp & Jane Shaw, Malcolm Hayward and partner who had a Polish name (?), and a curly haired chap who maybe worked at Libra Motive holding a pit board which for some reason says ‘Herb’. On reflection maybe Terry Foxen of Gee (I hardy ever see him)

From my Holly Birkett 6-Hour relay Archive on BHP:- Birkett 6-Hour so perhaps that will help. The race itself was before I became embroiled in the world of motor sport.

1973 - SILVERSTONE
Libra Morgan Grinders - Manager Mike Rudd - Handicap 1st Scratch ??
Malcolm Hayward - +8
Bill Hopkins - +8
Aubrey Brocklebank - +4
Nigel Sill - +4
Rob Wells - Coldwell GT (Mini engined special)
Rob Ingham-Hurst - Coldwell GT (Mini engined special)
Gyp Shaw - +4 DNS broken finger in Practice !

The guy with the Pit Board looks like the late Dave Saunter but I think it's a bit early for his involvement.

Note they won the event on Handicap and they are standing in front of a rare Coldwell GT.

The Coldwell GT was a very intersting Mini-based derivative see Here for details (Rob Wells) if you browse the website you won't believe how many derivatives there were/are ! Rob told me that the car he raced had the roof chopped out for more headroom and if you look closely at the pictures the racing mirrors are mounted above the windscreen.

have Fun 8-) 8-) 8-)

It was the London Centre team and I am pretty sure it is Doug Taylerson with the pit board and Mike Rudd with the stopwatch.
Team Anglemog were further down the pit lane so not Lindsay or Saunter!
