Fuel

Post by Alan House »

Hi, I'd be interested in people's views regarding the continued use of Shell V-Power as opposed to Sunoco!
Best wishes

Hi Alan,

I have been using it for years and I know several of our fellow Morgan racers do too.

Have a good Coronation weekend!

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark
Yes like you I have been using Shell V power but I am advised that following recent changes to pump fuel that Shell are now complying with the new regulations and adding elements that are likely to be damaging to our engines! Hence the need to use Sunoco. I'm no expert on these matters and wonder what others are being advised.
I hope to see you in the Morgan team at Thruxton where perhaps we can continue on our winning streak!
Best wishes

Hi Alan,

I hadn't heard that but I had heard that the Esso Super Unleaded was supposed to be very good and have a consistently high octane.

Hope to get to Thruxton - if I have a full set of replacement brake shoes/linings by then...!

Cheers,

Mark
