Hello Kevin, I was interested to read your wanted advert for CFX 866C. I am not the owner. I may be mistaken but you may be the gentleman who has shown interest in +4 Super Sports cars advertised/auctioned recently in the USA. I also closely follow these auctions.
I am aware this +4 is a high line but wonder what your particular interest is....restoration to Super Sport spec maybe ? It was advertised in 2019 by Richard Thorne and also auctioned at Matthewsons in or about that year.
Looking through my photographic records I have a picture of it at Harewood hill climb on 1st June 1975 !! Best of luck with your enquiry.
Regards, Eddie Singleton.

Hello Eddie.

Yes, one of the same.
However, aspirations of owning a SS have now evaporated as son has raided "bank of dad" to help finance his flat in London.
So back to reality and looking for a good useable TR engined +4.
Spotted CFX866C again on “Bangers & Cash”, noticed that it’s not currently being used (Under a SORN), so wondered if the owner would like it to go to a good home.
No real desire to modify it but would be good to get it out at Harewood again.

I remember Richard had a BRG 1965 car for sale, only spotted it after it was sold, but I was told that it needed a new chassis.
It may of course have been a different car as this was in 2021.

Best regards

Kevin

Looks like it was the same car that Richard had for sale.

This is just for interest.
A late response to this post on the +4 CFX 866C. This is a car that us 'older' members of the Yorkshire Centre know well. It was owned for many years (certainly from the mid 1970s) by Brian Calem (now passed), and very likely only re-appeared after his death a few years ago. My recollection is that it was in use in the 1970s and early 1980s, but then was a rebuild project that never happened. Hey ho, happy memories from the early YC days!! Mike.

Thanks Mike.

And sorry for my late response.
Been contacted by someone in the US on "Morgan Experience" telling me that its available to buy.
I smell a scam by the way its written.
Have told him that that according to the DVLA the car is still in the UK!
