A star of stage and screen. And how fortunate but worthy reward for diligent research. Moreover, a quite professional rendering. I can only presume that Famile shears were the delightful piano accompanying, Jonno or Good lady?
We are blessed that the antipodean exile has the time and resource to reveal these gems

Many thanks John.

I have entered KUY 475 for Spring Start at Silverstone with the VSCC on the weekend of 20th/21st April.

Will there be another Flat rad with period history racing Leigh...?!

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Marc,

Was there any reply on the message in the MHR-news column about your car?

Best wishes, Machiel.
PS. Do we see you here in Holland to visit our archive?

Afternoon Machiel,

Hope you are keeping well.

No I haven't had any feedback on OWP 38 after the article in the MHR news...

I was particularly hoping to hear from the immediate past owner who consigned the car for sale with Historics Auctioneers last May.

But I have had a really interesting reply from Martyn Webb of the Morgan Motor Company archive and also Jake Alderson - of Jake Alderson and Chris Chapman fame...!

I will send you an email as I have done a lot of research in to the early racing history and have some great period photographs.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark:
Nice to see a four-seater getting it's due. OWP appears very similar to my "63, which is also maintained in original condition thanks to 40-plus years ownership. I looked up the auction photos and was interested to see the similarity despite eight years' differece. Does the bonnet scoop hint at something interesting underneath?
If its not an imposition would it be possible to read the magazine article?
Thanks, Larry Emrick

Hi Larry and Machiel,

Re: OWP 38

I will forward the information to Machiel and hopefully some if not all of it will make an interesting article in a future issue of Miscellany on the excellent MHR pages...

I got a lot of the information from both Martyn and Jake before the publication in Miscellany of the MHR article on OWP's discovery.

It will also explain the factory fitted bonnet scoop...!

Cheers,

Mark
