BENTLEY DRIVERS at Silverstone

A little Competition Question for you all.

On returning from an excellent Bentley Drivers Club at Silverstone - Great Cars, Great Racing, Great Weather and most of all Great People - it occurred to me that there were 6 MSCC Competition Secretaries present, spanning the last 30 years !

Anybody (past and present Comp Secs excluded) care to name any or all of them ?

As a Starter I'll give you the first one

Kelvin Laidlaw, Peter Sargeant, Tony Oliver, John Goodman and er, I don't think I'm old enough to know any more ....

Good start Chris - not sure Kelvin was Comp Sec though, he took over from me as Awards Secretary (did a much better job and didn't manage to insult anybody !).

Leigh, scattergun approach sometimes pays dividends...

If there were any other Comp Secs around, then I don't know them ! as I wasn't interested in Motor Racing pre-Garlick.

I think you're correct (after Rick and before Peter ? or before Andy Garlick ?) - but was he at Silverstone on Saturday ?

Before Andy Garlick and I don't know if he was there or not. He might have been, it's the sort of meeting he usually goes to.

Andy â€“ is this going to be a new thing ? A little quiz to test our observation after the race meeting. How many times did Sarge junior spin ? Who was first out for Morgan practice ? How many races did the Bryants enter ? Who has the biggest camper van ? How many kids did Tony Lees have with him ? What was the logo on Sharlieâ€™s tee shirt ?

And perhaps an end of season trophy for the overall quiz winner.
