HSCC - Snetterton 31st May or See Red Donington
Has anyone entered this meeting? It clashes with the VSCC See Red meeting.

Not me - I'm at Donington comparing chalk with cheese in the Viper and the PH Lotus 17.
Life is sooo short.
Cheers, Tony

Yes, i've entered. However, keeping eveything crossed that FOJ is gonna be ready this time! I know Mark H is going to be there. Mark S told me that he's going to be at See Red. Richard Plant is I believe also going to try and get to Snetterton.

Another mixed day for Morgans I'm afraid. Mine misbehaved with minor niggles and then let its coolant out at the end of the Revett straight. So a DNF. Richard and Paul were also DNFs in 70s although I think Bruce and Oliver both finished the HRS race.
I hope you boys have better luck at Donington !

Re: HSCC - Snetterton 31st May Photos
Hello Mark,
I have a few photos from yesterdays practice and race.
If you or any of the other Morgan racers would like to see them, please e mail me and I will be only too pleased to send them over.
I do not have my own web site, otherwise I would post them, for you to have a look at.
The weather was superb and as a spectator the racing was good.

Hard luck Mark, Richard and Paul. Couldn't see Simon on the results either nor the +4 in the 3 hour race. I assume they were no shows.
Better luck seems to have been had by Oliver Phillips and Bruce Stapleton - lap times v.impressive. Both would have beaten the lap record held by Peter Horsman in his Moss box +8 set in the Morgan Challenge. Can only assume they were on Yokos when Peter would have been on Avons.
Also congrats to Susan Sears in her MGB.
Here's to a more successful HSCC Bands GP race!!

Alan,
You mention the lack of a web site to display your photos, I had the same problem until Merlin Acklam showed me how.
I can't believe how easy it is.
Try 'googling' picasa. It is a free photo edit suite and if you download it, once you have 'tuned up' your snaps you click on the web site button at the bottom and you can have 2gb (?) of space. You can make your albums public or private as you wish.
Previous posts on this site will tell you I am a definitely of the 'non-geek' variety, and if I can do it so can Dumbo (The Disney character, just to avoid misunderstanding).
I'm sure Chris would help with advice if needed or let me know and I'll lead you through it.
I for one would love to see your pics,
Kind regards,
Bob

Message for John Clarke.
You mention the HSCC Bands race?
Have you any idea of the kind of music they play? If it's proper Rock 'n Roll I might join up. I always fancied myself as a Jerry Lee Lewis lookalike!
Great Balls of Fire,
BB

Re: HSCC - Snetterton 31st May or See Red Donington
My dnf was caused by a fuel pump failure now confirmed by Chas; Paul Conway’s dnf was a blown engine and what with Mark Hobels Plus4 problems (not exactly sure the extent) and Bruce Stapleton having some electrical problems it was only Oliver Philips who had a totally trouble free ride so not such a good day for Morgan’s at Snetterton!!!!
John I don’t know what you mean all the Plus 8’s were on Avons!! Simon King and the other Plus4 were not seen?
Other wise a great time was had by all.
Richard.

My DNF was due to an exploding dynamo pulley - it went AWOL at the end of the straight. The car then struggled to keep cool !
Otherwise a very enjoyable day especially demolishing Richard's stock of Becks and Victoria sponge.
Should be OK for Brands.
