Re: CBM 199

By the way Bob I can see the local interest in the Morgan.

CBM is a Luton registration number issued by Bedfordshire CC in 1938.

Re: CBM 199

It's a small world in the Morgan world...!

Keep us all in the loop Bob. Will be very interested to hear what Martyn has to say.

Will we see you at The Leathern Bottle on 7th February?

Cheers,

Mark

Re: CBM 199

Hi Bob,

You could ask his namesake Martyn Webb.

As you probably know he is the archivist at the Morgan Motor Co.

I have got his contact details if you need them - just get in touch...

Or will see you at The Leathern Bottle at Lewknor on Saturday 7th February.

Cheers,

Mark

Re: CBM 199

I searched DVLA records and there is no record of any road tax or MOT or SORN.

Doesn't mean it's not out there though - somewhere...?!

Re: 1961 Supersports for sale

That's the one! I drove it when Jim first repatriated it back to the UK from the States. I was racing my Plus 4 at Silverstone and Jim wanted me to try it to see what I thought... It drove very well and was a nice original car in as much as I was told it had been rebuilt by the factory some years pr...

Re: 1961 Supersports for sale

By the way Kevin...

Have you seen the 1963 Plus 4 two seater that Classicwise, near Newark in Nottinghamshire have for sale?

It's been available for sale for a long time and they are asking £23,950 for it.

If interested I know it's back story... and have even driven it!

Re: 1961 Supersports for sale

Hi Kevin,

If you're interested I can send you some photos of how she is now.

I have recommissioned her over the last couple of years and she certainly looks (and goes!) a lot better than when I bought her.

Just PM me with your email address and I will send them to you.

Cheers,

Mark

racing3-gal.jpg Hi Kevin, Not a Super Sports and not a 'bustle back' but the ex: John Looker Goodwood, Silverstone and International Oulton Park (amongst many others) 1955 Plus 4 OWP 38 that he raced in period...! Definitely not a trailer queen but up and running with bags of patina! Cheers, Mark

Re: Wanted Turrino wheels

Thanks for letting me know Brett.

Are those wire wheels you offered to Jim 6" wide - like the Cobra wire wheel, or are they 51/2" measured from the inside of rim to rim?

Cheers,

Mark
